1. Who we are

This website, thegreatbilliom.com (the "Site"), is operated by Billiom Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16175650), registered office 167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF, trading as Great Billiom ("we", "us", "our").

Billiom Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through the Site. You can contact us about privacy at help@thegreatbilliom.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletter or download a guide.
  • Your name, email address and message when you contact us.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical information such as your browser, device type, operating system and approximate location (derived from your IP address).
  • How you use the Site: pages viewed, time spent, the page you came from, and campaign tags in the link you clicked (for example, whether you came from Instagram or our newsletter).
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).

What we do not collect
We do not sell products directly on this Site. When you choose to buy, you are taken to Amazon, and Amazon handles your order, payment and delivery under its own privacy notice. We never receive your payment details, and we do not receive your name or address from Amazon for marketing purposes.

3. How we use your information

  • To send the newsletter or guide you asked for, and our emails about our products and research, if you signed up.
  • To reply to your messages and handle any product questions, including reports of side effects.
  • To understand which content and channels are useful, so we can improve the Site.
  • To keep the Site secure and prevent misuse.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

4. Our legal basis (UK and EU visitors)

  • Consent: marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: basic analytics, Site security and replying to your enquiries.
  • Legal obligation: keeping records we are required to keep, such as reports of side effects.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Site and our communications, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Wix.com (website hosting, forms, analytics).
  • Our email service provider (sending newsletters and guides).
  • Amazon: links from our Site to Amazon carry a tracking tag so Amazon can report to us which of our channels led to visits and sales. We receive these reports in aggregate; they do not identify you.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom and some of our service providers are based in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK or EU, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US / UK-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. Cookies

The Site uses cookies that are essential for it to work, and analytics cookies that help us understand how it is used. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.

8. How long we keep it

  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then removed from active lists within 30 days (we keep a minimal record of your email address to make sure we don't contact you again).
  • Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact.
  • Reports of side effects: as long as legally required.
  • Analytics data: in line with our analytics provider's retention settings, typically up to 26 months.

9. Your rights

UK and EU visitors can ask to access, correct or delete their personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time.

US visitors, depending on your state of residence (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

To use any of these rights, email help@thegreatbilliom.com. We will respond within one month (or the period required by your local law) and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. We may need to confirm your identity first.

10. Marketing emails

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing us. We will stop marketing emails promptly after you ask.

11. Children

The Site and our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
